Mental Health Services

Some of the most vulnerable in our community are those patients who fall victim to the gaps in our mental health system. So many uninsured individuals do not have access to care or cannot afford the cost associated with individual or group therapy. Our clinic offers an integrated approach to caring for our patients by offering primary care and mental health services within the same facility.

We introduced our mental health program in 2007. In 2008 we hired a new mental health director and began implementing several changes to our program. These changes will allow us to serve more patients and use our mental health funding more efficiently. Most of our counselors have Master’s degrees and several years of experience. We also utilize graduate students. We are providing $168,000 worth of visits per year for a cost of $50,400 (thanks to our conselors working for reduced rates).
