Donald R. Teater, MD and Martha H. Teater, MA, LMFT
Don and Martha Teater are the founders of Mountaintop Healthcare. Dr. Teater has served as the medical director of the Good Samaritan Clinic since 1999. In December 2007 he closed his solo practice of 12 years to form the nonprofit Mountaintop Healthcare.
Martha Teater is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She provides individual and family therapy for people in our community. She is also a licensed clinical addictions specialist.
The Teaters have two sons, Luke and Kevin, and one daughter-in-law, Betsey.
Donda Bennett
Donda Bennett is the Executive Director for both Mountaintop Healthcare and the Good Samaritan Clinic of Haywood County. She has a BS in Healthcare Administration and over 15 years experience working in private practice. She now handles the financial responsibilities and daily operations for both clinics. Donda is married to Chad and has two children, Neely and Addison.
Louise Goss, CMA
Louise Goss, CMA, works our reception desk and handles the patient flow in our office. She is married to Mike and has two grown children, Jamie and Cody, and a daughter-in-law, Faith. Louise has been in the medical field for over 15 years.
Traci Henderson, CMA
Traci Henderson, CMA, is the clinical coordinator for Mountaintop Healthcare. She is married to Daryl and they have two children, Bailey and Tucker. Traci has an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Medical Assisting and has over 14 years experience working in private practice. She is also certified through the AAMA. Traci handles the clinical and lab areas of the office.
Tina Toney, CMA
Tina Toney, CMA, assists in all areas of the office from reception to clinical. She has an associates degree in Applied Science in Medical Assisting and has over 12 years experience in private practice. Tina is married to James and they have two sons, Josh and Andrew. She is also certified through the AAMA.

Canton

Kristin C. Gruner, PA-C
Kristin C. Gruner, physician assistant, is a graduate of Duke University. She has eight years experience working as a PA in urgent care, occupational health, and general medicine. Prior to graduating from Duke, she worked as an ICU nurse for three years. She is very involved in her church’s children’s ministry and enjoys spending time with her family.
Carolyn Frady
Carolyn Frady is the medical office assistant at the Good Samaritan Clinic office in Canton. She received her degree from Haywood Community College. She assists our physician’s assistant and supervises the volunteers in Canton. Carolyn is married to Dennis Frady and they have two sons. She enjoys fishing with her husband, cooking and crocheting in her spare time.
Linda McMahan
Linda McMahan has been with the Good Samaritan Clinic for over seven years, first as a volunteer. She has seen many changes over the years and is enthusiastic about the new direction of the clinic. Linda is the telephone operator for the clinic and does many other clerical tasks.
